On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Sherkhan Murtaza, the famous writer and journalist, “A significant person in the history of Kazakhstan” reader’s conference was held on September 22, 2022.

The writer’s work has an impact on the development of world culture as a whole. Sherkhan Murtaza devoted all his life to national culture and literature, leaving a rich spiritual heritage to his descendants. As a member of the Kazakhstani Parliament, he wrote many articles in which he raised the most important problems of modernity, public life, as well as the problems of the country, land, and language. The writer’s work popularization will give a positive impact on the spiritual and moral development of young people, and contributes to the formation of their personality as well. The conference participants were students, undergraduates and faculty of the university. Both literary work of Sherkhan Murtaza and his contribution to the development of Kazakh writing were discussed in the conference framework.
