General provisions

The Scientific and Technical Council of Baishev University (hereinafter referred to as STC) is a permanent coordinating, advisory and expert body of the university in the field of formation and practical implementation of scientific, scientific and technical as well as innovative activities. In its activities, it is relies on the STC activity Regulations.

The Vice-Rector for Research and Strategic Development is the Chairman of the Baishev University STC. The STC organizational work is carried out by the Department of Science and Innovation staff.

Main goals and objectives

The main STC objectives are the formation and implementation of the strategy as well as priority areas for the development of the university’s innovative activities.

The main STC objectives are to promote the receipt of research volumes in accordance with the criteria for accreditation; preservation and development of the university scientific potential; analysis and evaluation of scientific, scientific and technical as well as innovative activities of separate departments and the university as a whole.

Structure and basic principles of organizing the STC work

The STC is formed from its Chairman, the STC Deputy Chairman, the STC Scientific Secretary, members of the STC as well. Membership in the STC is personal. The STC may include vice-rectors, deans of faculties, leading scientists, scientific and pedagogical workers and highly qualified industry specialists, including representatives of relevant public associations of scientific and pedagogical workers. The STC staff, its chairman and his/-er deputy, the STC scientific secretary and members are approved by University Rector order.

The Baishev University STC meetings are held at least once every two months. Its work carries out in accordance with the plan drawn up and approved for each calendar year. The STC Work Plan is annually approved by the Baishev University Rector.
