History

Baishev University

The University was established in 1996 as the Aktobe Department of the Kazakh State Academy of Management.

In 1997, the Aktobe department of the Kazakh State Academy of Management was transformed into the West Kazakhstan Institute of Economics and Finance.

In 2001, the West Kazakhstan Institute of Economics and Finance was renamed Saktagan Baishev Aktobe University.

In 2012, in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on optimization of higher education institutions and by mutual agreement of universities the University was united with the Aktobe Social and Technical Institute «Duniye».

Since 2019 Aktobe Saktagan Baishev University has been re-branded into Baishev University (BAISHEV UNIVERSITET) (decision of the meeting of the Supervisory Board, protocol 5, dated 24.12.2018)
