A culture of peace and non-violence is one of the main themes in a pandemic
Baishev University was one of the organizers of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Culture of Peace and Non-Violence of the Rising Generation: Perspectives of Interpretation and Pedagogical Conditions of Development”, which was held online from October 29 to October 30, 2020 at Kursk State University. The program committee included Doctor PhD in Finance, Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation of Baishev University, Lygina Olga Ivanovna, who spoke with welcoming words and wishes. The conference was attended by scientists and students of universities of Russia, China, Poland, Kazakhstan and other countries.
The relevance of the event is due to the need to develop in the minds of the younger generation and their way of life the idea of strengthening and protecting peace, rejecting various forms of violence and intolerance, tolerant attitude to national, religious and cultural differences between peoples, adherence to the principles of democracy, freedom, justice, harmony, solidarity and pluralism.
The purpose of the conference is to discuss the concept of a culture of peace and non-violence in pedagogical science and practice, to develop possible technologies for strengthening and protecting peace, and to reject various forms of violence and intolerance of the younger generation.
The conference participants spoke about the role of education in building a culture of peace and non-violence based on respect for human rights, democracy and tolerance; educational opportunities educational items forming moral qualities, spiritual values, culture of human relationships the younger generation, and activities on peaceful conflict resolution as one of the concrete expressions of the human ability to generalize existing theoretical and empirical data and on this basis to predict and forecast the future.
